President Clinton Visits King Home For Fundraiser

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Carole King and Phil Alden Robinson were the hosts for President Bill Clinton and several hundred invited guests to raise money for Democratic Congressional candidates.

During the evening's program, President Clinton announced a new U.S. Forest Service purchase of 784 acres of pristine California coastline at the southern edge of Big Sur. The $4.5 million purchase ensures permanent preservation of the area that serves as a habitat for endangered steelhead trout and the Smith's blue butterfly.
